Liberty/Evans Drama Department Presents Disney’s Descendants the Musical
The Liberty/Evans Drama Department invites the community to experience the magic, music, and energy of Disney’s The Descendants the Musical on Friday, March 6, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the Evans Junior High School Auditorium, 812 Chester Avenue.
Tickets are $5.00 at the door, and all are encouraged to attend this family-friendly performance brought to life by an incredibly talented group of sixth through ninth-grade students.
Based on the hit Descendants franchise, Disney’s The Descendants the Musical celebrates friendship, identity, and the courage to choose your own path. Set in the kingdom of Auradon and the Isle of the Lost, the story follows the teenage children of some of Disney’s most infamous villains as they discover who they truly are beyond their parents’ legacies.
Since December, the student cast has been hard at work rehearsing lines, mastering songs, learning choreography, and perfecting blocking to deliver an entertaining and heartfelt performance. Their dedication and teamwork shine through in every scene.
The production also showcases the recently renovated Evans Auditorium, featuring brand-new stage curtains, upgraded lighting, and a modern sound system. Even more impressive — the entire technical production is operated by a skilled student crew, highlighting the depth of talent both on stage and behind the scenes.
